The Korea Foundation, a nonprofit organization, was established in Seoul of the Republic of Korea in 1991 to promote awareness and understanding of Korea throughout the international community, and to enhance goodwill and friendship through the implementation of various international exchange programs.
The South Korea Scholarship Program is administrated by CIEE in partnership with The Korea Foundation. The Korea Foundation is focused on exposing Korean culture to a diverse array of U.S students from various backgrounds. During the program, participants will be hosted by Yonsei University, located is Seoul, South Korea. This short term program features highlights of Korean culture, language, and history.
Yonsei University is a separately contracted partner of the Korea Foundation and as such they commit to providing a custom-tailored cultural program to our participants. Yonsei University staff will be the official hosts of our students.
The Korea Foundation reserves the right to review and accept all applicants along with CIEE staff.
CIEE offers a two week summer South Korea scholarship program for high school students. The selection process is highly competitive and students are recommended to send in applications as early as possible, as CIEE reviews applications on a first come first serve basis.
The South Korea University Spring Break program is taking place March 13 - March 22, 2010. This program is the perfect opportunity for students who do not have time to spend a full semester or academic year abroad, but are looking for a short term opportunity to explore Korean culture! Spend 10 days immersing yourself in all that South Korea has to offer.
