The South Korea Scholarship is a full, all expenses paid, scholarship program for students to learn about Korean culture firsthand. CIEE has partnered with the Korea Foundation, a nonprofit organization aimed at promoting awareness and understanding of Korea throughout the international community, and to enhance goodwill and friendship through the implementation of various international exchange programs.
South Korea, one of the “economic dragons” in Asia, is a country that embraces both a modern and traditional way of life. With CIEE and the Korea Foundation you could find yourself touring the ancient Gyeongbokgung Palace, enjoying local cuisine, immersing yourself in Korean culture during a brief homestay with a Korean family, visiting the Demilitarized Zone, learning about Korean culture and language at Korea’s most prestigious university, and more!
What will your story be in South Korea?
CIEE offers a two week summer South Korea scholarship program for high school students. The selection process is highly competitive and students are recommended to send in applications as early as possible, as CIEE reviews applications on a first come first serve basis.
The South Korea University Spring Break program is taking place March 13 - March 22, 2010. This program is the perfect opportunity for students who do not have time to spend a full semester or academic year abroad, but are looking for a short term opportunity to explore Korean culture! Spend 10 days immersing yourself in all that South Korea has to offer.
