Host Families
Students that enroll in private day schools will be placed in a homestay with a host family. Our host families open their homes and families to welcome international students. Each host family goes through a process of background checks, reference checks, personal interviews, and home visits to ensure the best possible care for our students.
CIEE host families are open-minded, caring, and willing to help a young student adjust and thrive in a new environment. They welcome students into their homes as members of the family, offering a bedroom, bathroom, and a quiet place to study. Host families provide three meals a day, and help to arrange necessary transportation to and from school. CIEE host families, natural families, and students have access to our local and national support center 24 hours a day.
